Anxiety disorders (including panic attacks and OCD), Carers/Young Carers, Crisis, Depression (including bi-polar and post natal), Eating Disorders, Faith, Families, General Mental Health, Schizophrenia (including hearing voices and disturbing thoughts), Post Traumatic Stress, Minority and Ethnic Groups (BME), Women, Young PeopleNorth Essex: A support service for callers in emotional distress, providing information, support and assistance in crisis prevention and intervention in "partnership" with North Essex Mental Health NHS Trust, Essex Emergency Duty Services, and the Emergency Services as appropriate.
NERIL originally opened as MERIL, a service for Mid-Essex for any adult experiencing mental distress, or their carer, in 1997 before expanding in 2001 to cover all 8 districts of North Essex.
